SW19 Studios, Londons leading rehearsal facility, are looking to hire a technical assistant to help with the day-to-day operations of our busy studios.


This is a full-time role and will be a combination of weekday, evening and weekend work so the ideal candidate will understand the need to cater for our clients as and when needed and be flexible in their availability.


Reporting to the General Manager, the role will primarily involve running the hire department, set up and maintenance of our audio equipment when it’s hired to our clients as well as making sure the site is very clean, tidy and in the best working order.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the orders and requests from our clients for all technical aspects of the studios including the hire of all of our PA equipment.

  • Set up and removal of all cable management and backline hires, paying particular attention to making sure the stock that is hired out comes back in again.

  • Issuing inventories for anything hired to clients

  • Working alongside the General Manager to make sure all equipment hired is invoiced for.

  • Maintenance of all of the cables and equipment.

  • Managing the external hires of equipment including transport.

  • Overall maintenance of the Studio site including cleaning and repairs.


Desirable attributes:


  • Advanced knowledge of audio equipment and accessories including set up and DAW.

  • Advanced knowledge of backline set up.

  • Hold a clean UK driving licence

  • Proficient in use of email, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Canva, and Photoshop.

  • Previous experience of working in a recording or rehearsal studio.
